Single Car Accident on Trans Canada Highway

Two people escaped with only slight injuries after a single vehicle accident at Paddy's Pond on the Trans Canada main road. RCMP say the man who was driving lost control of the little car, went down into the median, and traveled back up the side of the highway, landing back in the eastbound passing lane. The woman was brought to hospital for surveillance.

Meanwhile, Const. Harry Mouland says he ended up charging another driver for an infraction through the accident scene investigation. Mouland says he was taking measurements when he clocked a motor vehicle that passed him doing 130 kilometers. He stopped the female driver from Holyrood and discovered she had been poised from driving. Mouland says she owes $18,000 in fines and charged her with driving while ineligible.
