Two people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a two-car collide on an Aberdeenshire road.
One motorist had to be cut free by Grampian Fire and Rescue Service later than the accident on the B977 Balmedie to Parkhill highway just before 1100 GMT.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said two people were believed to have been gravely hurt, and a third was walking injured.
