BMW released the first sketch of its Mega city electric vehicle last week, but currently we can reveal the car in all its glory.
Our computer image is based on the sketch and shows what BMW's first electric car could seem like when it goes on sale in 2013.
The four-seater will be based on technology already being trialed in the battery-powered Mini E and 1 Series. It will also utilize a carbonfibre passenger cell to keep weight down.
The car is likely to be expensive as a result, so BMW might lease it rather than sell it to customers.
The rear-engined, rear-wheel-drive car has a 100Kw motor beneath the floor and is anticipated to have a variety of between 100 and 130 miles. It's bigger than a Mini, but lesser than the 1 Series.

The project is the first in a string of electric cars that the company says will ultimately account for up to 12% of its sales by 2020.
